Morningland Community Survivor Testimonial Preview: Cult Vault Podcast (4 Part Series)
Frankie Tease Tells All to Kacey on a UK Cult True Crime Podcast Oct. 28, 2022
It finally happened. I have been interviewed in a full-length interview on the Cult Vault Podcast. After 8 months of beginning to speak out about my family separation experience in Morningland Church by clergy there who are still alive (some are deceased). This comes after I survived telling my mom in 2014 what happened in the cult, abuse she wasn't aware of, writing my first draft of my memoir for publishing soon, and starting the project Frankie Files Podcasts, allowing me to speak about my survivor knowledge and interview experts and survivors of cults.
The journey since 2014 has been marked with destruction including realizing that I may never reconcile with my twin, experiencing stalking since moving back into the Long Beach area and starting to plan the novel and speak out, and so much stress about the whole experience's memories being something I discuss daily.
I am stronger for it, because I have the support of my mother. The interesting thing is that my mom tried to speak out and did activism while trying to get us out of the destructive new age religious compound in Long Beach California. All that was back mid 80's, and now, looping back around I am finally able to pick up the torch. Having my mom's support is something I never knew if I could have. Because asking for her support would mean asking her to face her guilt for letting my sister and I be corrupted by religious criminals. It's a lot.
I am finally able to tease my memoir with this full length interview done by Kacey who runs and hosts Cult Vault Podcast. It's been a great experience. Her long-form show focuses on the stories of people who have gotten away from destructive cults. It's often uncensored and hair raising, and my interview is no different.
Thank You from the bottom of my heart to Kacey, and to my supporter in this, mom. Thank You. And to those cult kids who are now adults thinking of speaking out: it might not go just as you planned, but it's worth it just to know you are doing something against those who did you damage. To quote the great Martin Luther King Jr. "There comes a time when silence is consent". That time for me is now.
